About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate to join our dynamic team, where you will help bridge the gap between technical resource management and strategic land development. As a Graduate Land & Resource coordinator, you will support the full lifecycle of our operations - from targeting and acquiring new aggregate properties to ensuring reclamation compliance at the end of a site's life. You will work cross functionally within Mining Engineers, Geologists, Land Managers, GIS Specialists, Operations, Environmental team and external stakeholders to sustain and grow our footprint across Eastern Canada.

What You'll Accomplish
Land & Stakeholder Management
  • Acquisition and Due Diligence: Under direction from Land Manager, assist in targeting and evaluating potential aggregate properties to acquire or lease to support regional operations.
  • Permits and Approvals: Support the process of obtaining land and resource permits from provincial and municipal government agencies. Ensure documentation is kept up to date for all permits and approvals, and necessary actions are taken when updates are required.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Help maintain positive relationships with landowners, neighbors, and local communities as directed by the Land Manager.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop an understanding of laws, agreements, and contracts related to real estate, zoning, and reclamation. Support the annual reporting process for the SK-1300 (SEC) standard in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Management: Ensure all land and resource documents are properly maintained, data is timely communicated and support the ongoing development of the Land Information System (LIS).
Technical Resource Support
  • Assist Land Manager or the Geological team on field exploration activities, site walk-overs, etc.
  • Assist with volumetrics where appropriate and ensure the mine plans that have been agreed via permitting are adhered to.
  • Data Management: Ensure all SK1300 reports accurately reflect the land and mining situation of the site for annual reporting.
  • Technical Tools: Utilize software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS to assist with the Land and Resource team as required.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any land-related field, geology, mining engineering, business administration, commerce, or related disciplines. Preferred: Bachelors degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering and/or C.E.T. or similar combination of skills and experience.
  • Professional Ambition: Strong interest in pursuing a career in land and resource management.
  • Work Experience: 0 to 2 years of required experience.
  • Technical & Professional Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) required. Surveying experience and experience in aggregates and land development are assets.
  • Travel Requirements: 20% local travel to support operational teams, monitor land assets, and meet external stakeholders. Occasional travel outside the local market may be required.
Additional Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS (or equivalent) and/or volumetric software. Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills to represent the company at public or government events.
  • Problem Solving & Multitasking: Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, highly organized to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of English is required, as the incumbent must communicate regularly with clients and suppliers of goods and/or services along with team members or support functions outside Quebec.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
