Job Description

• Reading andinterpreting engineering blueprints
• Remove excess metaland unwanted materials from metal parts, castings andother metal products and do other labouringactivities
• Select and preparemetal stock for fabrication to make or repair metal structuressuch as boilers and pressure vessels
• Shape and bend metalsections and pipes using hand and machine tools
• Setting up metalworkmachinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters,brakes, and shears
• They join metalsections using various welding techniques, as well as cut metalsections by using flame cutting torches and metal cuttingmachines
