Job summary

Dexter Construction Company Limited is seeking Construction Labourers to join our Woodstock, New Brunswick team for the 2026 season. Positions will be based in Woodstock with potential travel within the province as needed.

Under the Foreman, Labourers perform heavy manual labour to support the construction crew, including loading and unloading materials, site cleanup, digging, and operating equipment safely. You must follow safety policies and communicate clearly with teammates.

Qualifications

• Must follow a firm work schedule as directed by supervisor.
• Familiar with construction site protocols, rules and code of conduct.
• Ability to perform manual tasks with independent judgment and action; operate equipment safely.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move construction materials around the worksite
• May be responsible for digging, spreading, and leveling of dirt and gravel
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour
• Be aware of your surroundings at all times
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Ensure the safety of fellow employees
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Dexter Construction Company is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently looking for Construction Labourers to join our operations out of Woodstock, New Brunswick for the 2026 season. These positions will be based out of Woodstock but may involve travel to other parts of the province as the need arises.

Under the direction of the Foreman, the Labourer is responsible forperforming a variety of heavy manual labour duties to assist theconstruction team on the worksite.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move construction materials around the worksite
• May be responsible for digging, spreading, and leveling of dirt and gravel

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour

Working Conditions:

The Labourer has a physically strenuous and demanding job. TheLabourer will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment andobjects, requiring the use of PPE, Hardhat, Steel Toe Boots, and areflective vest to minimize risk on the worksite. The worksiteenvironment for this position is outside in varying weather conditions.
