A construction and steel fabrication company in New Brunswick is seeking a Steel Shop Helper. The role involves assisting in various shop operations, including reading blueprints and supporting the shipping and receiving team. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to advance to roles such as Welder or Fitter. The position requires completion of high school and prior experience is considered an asset. A comprehensive compensation package is provided after a specified period.
Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel’s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.
