Responsibilities
  • Handle materials and equipment: Safely lift, carry, and move construction materials around job sites.
  • Perform general labour tasks: Shoveling, raking, pouring concrete, and other hands‑on work to support construction projects.
  • Site maintenance: Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the day.
  • Assist with traffic control: Direct traffic around construction zones when required to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
  • Perform inspections: Check equipment and site conditions to identify potential hazards before starting tasks.
Qualifications

This position is located in Saint John, New Brunswick.

  • Experience: 2-5 years of labour experience in the civil construction industry is preferred, but not required for motivated candidates.
  • Skills & Knowledge: A strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast‑paced, changing environments.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying, and pushing wheelbarrows for extended periods.
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with your crew and leadership.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
