Job summary

Canadian Plains Energy Services LP is seeking local SE Saskatchewan candidates for pipeline and facility construction in Carlyle, Estevan and Weyburn. You will work with equipment operators and civil crews to complete grade and excavation work, assisting pipefitters and welders as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean sites, attending pre-job toolbox talks, identifying hazards, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Must have valid H2S Alive and Standard First Aid tickets.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to work outside in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline and facility construction duties in SE Saskatchewan.
• Support equipment operators and civil crew to complete grade and excavation work.
• Assist pipefitters and welders with their tasks and equipment setup.
• Coordinate with heavy equipment operators to attach and move gear safely.
• Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify hazards and mitigations.
• Report unsafe acts and conditions to the supervisor, ensure clean work areas.
• Return tools to proper areas after the job or shift end.

• Clean construction work areas
• Work with equipment operators and civil crew to complete grade and excavation work
• Assist pipefitters and welders with their work
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in safely moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
• Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them
• Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of the immediate supervisor
• Return tools (clean) back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift
