Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife qualification is mandatory.
• Evidence of 3 years clinical midwifery experience is required.
• Experience as a Labour Ward Coordinator is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and managerial leadership for the midwifery team.
• Participate in developing service guidelines and performance targets.
• Support the development of staff and their roles.

Skills

Ability to work alone and as a member of a team

Clinical Skills i.e. Perineal suturing, IV Cannulation, NALS

Ability to manage difficult situations effectively

Education

Registered Midwife

Relevant Degree or evidence of further study

Evidence of further study at post registration level
