About the role

The Laborer / Helper provides bulk product delivery support to blast crews and assistance to crews for on bench operations.

What you will be doing
  • Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”), keeping safety guards on equipment in place, using equipment safely, and looking out for the other members on your team
  • Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Assist other team members when necessary
  • Early morning start time depending on clients' need
  • Daily schedule averages 12 hrs a day, overtime daily after 8.5 hr
  • Monday to Friday, Weekends off
  • Long days out in all types of weather, with big rewards at the end of the day
What you will bring
  • 1 or more years of experience in a construction position required
  • Mining, Quarry & Construction experience a PLUS!
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction jobs
  • Previous experience in commercial construction jobs
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Must be prompt and committed to doing great work
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to the office in Greely, ON
  • Must be self‑motivated and can work well with others
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Clean driving record
  • One year related work experience preferred
  • Must obtain a DZ driver’s license within a year of employment
