Qualifications

• Current theoretical and technical knowledge in Hematology, Blood Transfusion and Biochemistry.
• Must have working and technical knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical equipment necessary to perform routine and specialized testing.
• Recent experience in a Core Laboratory, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized test procedures in Chemistry, Hematology and Blood Bank.
• Organize workflow to maintain performance standards of quantity and quality.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment and immediate work area.

Skills

Certification with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences (CSMLS)

Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Proven problem solving skills

Ability to work effectively under pressure

Proven organizational skills
