Job summary

Saint-Hubert Global Manufacturing in Saint-Hubert is seeking a Laboratory Technical Lead to drive the laboratory program on a full-time, permanent basis. You will lead a team of 5 technicians and 1 engineer, act as the technical authority, and coordinate lab activities.

The role emphasizes designing and maintaining high-voltage test benches, LabVIEW programming, automation and controls, and rigorous testing protocols with comprehensive technical reports.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and electronic engineering expertise.
• Proven experience designing high-voltage test benches.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW programming.
• Experience in automation and control systems.
• Demonstrated leadership, autonomy, and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Bilingual: French and English (spoken and written).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (required).

Responsabilités

• Diriger, encadrer et motiver l’équipe du laboratoire (5 techniciens, 1 ingénieur)
• Agir à titre de référence technique et assurer la coordination des activités du laboratoire
• Concevoir, maintenir, améliorer et documenter les bancs d’essais électriques
• Diagnostiquer et résoudre les problématiques techniques liées aux essais
• Définir, documenter et mettre à jour les protocoles de tests
• Réaliser les essais électriques et rédiger les rapports techniques
• Offrir un support technique sur les équipements du laboratoire
• Participer aux projets d’automatisation et soutenir les équipes de production
• Assurer le respect des normes de santé et sécurité et promouvoir les bonnes pratiques

Exigences

• Excellentes connaissances en électricité et en électronique
• Expérience en conception de bancs d’essais haute tension
• Connaissance de la programmation LabVIEW
• Expérience en automatisation et systèmes de contrôle
• Fort leadership, autonomie, rigueur et sens de l’organisation
• Engagement marqué envers la sécurité
• Baccalauréat en génie électrique
• Ingénieur(e) membre en règle de l’Ordre des ingénieurs (obligatoire)
• 5 à 8 ans d’expérience en conception et maintenance de bancs d’essais
• Expérience en automatisation et contrôles
• Bilinguisme requis : français et anglais (oral et écrit)
