Mosaic Diagnostics LLC is seeking a Laboratory Support Specialist in the Specimen Receiving department, located on-site at Overland Park, KS. This role handles receiving, accessioning, processing, labeling, and data entry for specimens destined for laboratory analysis.

Levels I–III progressively expand responsibilities, including troubleshooting workflow, communications with clients, and potential leadership duties as needed. Strong data entry and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with biology background preferred.
• Excellent basic communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Flexibility and reliability in attendance and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log all incoming specimens from couriers.
• Accession, process and label specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Match identifications from orders to patient samples.
• Aliquot specimens into appropriately labeled containers.
• Enter patient order data into the Portal.
• Inventory samples in LIMS and manage turnaround times.
• Prepare specimens for shipment to reference laboratories.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
