Job summary

Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada seeks an Assistant Chief Technologist to coordinate and deploy the Laboratory Information System (SIL‑P). You will lead configuration, validation, and integration efforts while aligning with regulatory and quality requirements.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, manage project timelines, and deliver training and support to clinical staff. Fluency in French and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing with CSMLS or OPTMQ.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Project Management certification.
• Education or experience in information systems, health informatics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the SIL‑P LIS.
• Configure analyses, profiles, rules, units of measure, reference ranges, and system parameters.
• Collaborate on interface configuration, integration, and validation with EPIC, MUHC, and connected systems.
• Validate HL7 message flows and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Prepare environments for development, testing, pre-production, and production.
