Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
- Must have passed the NCLEX.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting fetal heart tracings.
- Administer medications and pain management interventions.
- Educate and support mothers on delivery recovery and newborn care.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide critical interventions.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control standards.
