Position Overview:

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide exceptional care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This role involves closely monitoring mother and baby, ensuring a safe and supportive birthing process, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to women in labor, delivery, and recovery stages
  • Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, vital signs, and maternal condition
  • Assist with labor-inducing procedures and administer medications as needed
  • Support mothers and families throughout the birthing experience
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate medical records
  • Respond quickly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
  • Educate patients and their families on postnatal care, breastfeeding, and recovery

Requirements:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an RN
  • At least 1 year of experience in L&D
  • BLS certification
