Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery (L&D) team. The L&D RN will provide care and support to expectant mothers and their families during labor delivery and immediate postpartum recovery. This role requires clinical expertise, emotional resilience and the ability to respond quickly in critical situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting fetal heart tracings and vital signs.
  • Administer medications and pain management interventions per physician orders.
  • Assist in labor delivery and surgical procedures including C-sections.
  • Educate and support mothers, partners and families on delivery recovery and newborn care.
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide critical interventions when needed.
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control standards.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (or within 6 months).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Intermediate / Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications preferred.
  • At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
  • Must have passed the NCLEX.
