Job summary

Cyclic Materials is building a resilient circular supply chain for rare earth elements and other critical materials. The Lab Coordinator supports day-to-day operation of the analytical laboratory, focusing on documentation, sample tracking, quality records, and calibration maintenance.

The role works with the Lab Manager to ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, proper scheduling, and timely reporting of lab metrics, while helping drive continuous improvement and safety in the lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Analytical Science, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA in an industrial analytical laboratory environment.
• Experience with laboratory QA/QC, documentation, and data review.
• Working Experience with Laboratory information management system (LIMS).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as ICP-OES, C/S analysis, titration, or similar techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample receipt, login, tracking, storage, retention, and disposal.
• Maintain laboratory quality documentation, including SOPs, forms, worksheets, logbooks, checklists, and controlled records.
• Maintain training and competency records and support laboratory personnel onboarding.
• Supports activities required for ISO/IEC 17025
• Coordinate laboratory schedules and testing priorities with the Lab Manager.
• Compile laboratory quality and operational metrics for management review.
• Support laboratory safety and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify and elevate quality, equipment, inventory, or operational issues as appropriate.

Position Summary

The Lab Coordinator supports the day-to-day operation and quality activities of the analytical laboratory. The role focuses primarily on laboratory documentation, sample tracking, quality records, review and maintain equipment calibration and maintenance records, and other duties as assigned.

The position works closely with the Lab Manager and laboratory personnel to support efficient operations and compliance with established procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with method validation/verification, audits, corrective actions, and measurement uncertainty.

Pay Range

$45,000 — $60,000 CAD
