Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
• Strong customer/patient service skills.
• Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain the specimen collection process.
• Perform phlebotomies and special test collections.
• Maintain client relationships and respond to inquiries.
• Complete data entry of required patient information.
• Prepare specimens for transportation.
