Job description

As a Cell Culture Technical Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of laboratory-based teaching and research activities.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the setup and execution of laboratory classes, workshops, and events.
  • Assisting academic staff in guiding students and participants during practical sessions.
  • Preparing and ensuring the functionality of lab equipment and materials ahead of scheduled activities.
  • Aiding lecturers with demonstrations and conducting trial runs for practical classes.
  • Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and ensuring equipment is properly prepared and serviced.
  • Managing administrative tasks such as procurement and inventory tracking of chemicals, consumables, and assets.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting and liaising with vendors for equipment repairs.
  • Supporting audits and inspections related to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Quality, Environment, Health and Safety (QEHS) standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and operational guidelines across laboratories.
Qualifications
  • A Diploma in Biomedical Science, Medical Biotechnology, or Biological Sciences.
  • Foundational knowledge in cell culture techniques or medical laboratory operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling lab equipment and materials.
