We are looking for a positive and team-oriented individual to join our Gananoque manufacturing center as an L&D ATBAM Machine Operator I to support the production department. The primary purpose of this position is to set up, operate and maintain ATBAM Machines, producing quality abdominal transducer belts.

Hours: Shifts will run on an 8 hour MAD rotation ( morning, afternoon and evening)

Location: Gananoque, Ont

Your Contributions to the Organization will be

Operation of automated ATBAM machines to produce abdominal transducer belts

  • Load materials and run the automated machines

  • Inspect and ensure the materials are free of dirt or grease

  • Monitor production runs and make necessary adjustments

Ensure high quality of production and packaging of the belts

  • Monitor production based upon feedback

  • Make necessary adjustments as required, referring to specifications

  • Pack the belts and run them through sealer

  • Fill out paperwork as required with accuracy

Making adjustments within operators capabilities

  • Changing settings of the equipment

  • Report all major problems that require maintenance staff to supervisor

  • Provide assistance to maintenance staff when required

Maintain cleanliness of machine and work areas

  • Ensure machine is maintained in good operating condition (request repairs as needed)

  • Ensure machine is free of grease, rust, dirt and material debris

  • Ensure a clean & orderly work area by following the 5S standards to improve overall efficiency of operations

  • You preferably have a High School diploma or equivalent

  • You have machine maintenance skills and problem solving ability

  • Your mechanical aptitude would be an asset

  • You are detail orientated and take pride in producing work with high accuracy while achieving standard goals

  • You enjoy a fast paced environment and being active while working from a standing position

  • Your previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset

  • You have general knowledge of production practices

  • You have the ability to work in a 24/5 environment

  • You appreciate working in team environment where clear communication and quality control are crucial
