Job summary

A prominent hotel chain in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee kitchen staff and ensure food quality. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience and a secondary school graduation certificate. Responsibilities include managing supply requisitions, staff training, and maintaining quality standards in meal preparation. This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Hire food service staff.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Establish work schedules.
