Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a General Kitchen Help in Alberta for a full-time role. You will join a team, support food prep, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment throughout a 40-hour week from Wednesday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.

• Ability to operate tools and equipment and follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foods.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and store them properly.
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards and keep records of supplies/equipment.
• Sanitize workstations and equipment following Sodexo and client rules.
• May be required to wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness.

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a General Kitchen Help to join our dynamic team. This position is a full-time role. You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to participate in the food preparation for ourconsumers.

Qualifications

You are an experienced Kitchen General Helper who enjoys working in a team environment, ensuring high quality results and meeting food safety, HACCP and OHS standards.

During your mandate, you will be asked to:

• operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, seasons and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving, and storing.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizingknowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Inspectworkstations for compliance with service standards.
• Keep records and requisition for supplies/equipment as needed.
• Cleanand sanitizeworkstations and equipment following all Sodexo, client andregulatory rules and procedures.
• you may have basic cooking responsibilities, i.e., cook vegetables, chicken for salads.
• You may be required to wash dishes, glasses and utensils by hand or with a dishwasher, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen (floors, equipment and material), emptying the garbage cans and transporting the garbage to the appropriate containers.

You have a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role, excellent customer service skills and teamwork. You have the ability to operate tools and equipment. You are able to work under pressure and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
