Job summary

A senior living community in Moose Jaw is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation and service. This casual (on-call) position requires a minimum Grade 12 education and at least one year of dishwashing and/or serving experience. Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in Dishwashing and/or Serving.
• Must have a valid Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• Must have a valid Serve it Right Certificate.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for the majority of the shift.
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing and serving.
• Setting up equipment and supplies for food preparation.
• Receiving, checking and storing food and supply deliveries.
• Monitoring quality and quantity of food supplies.
• Reporting food, supply, and equipment needs.
• Assisting with food delivery and set-up for special events.
• Completing assigned cleaning tasks.
