A community-focused educational institution in Cranbrook seeks a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen manager in preparing nutritious meals. The ideal candidate will have a happy disposition and a commitment to teamwork, with experience in catering being desirable. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate. The position focuses on child-friendly interactions and requires the ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
NJC GradeA2 24413FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
This is a parttime permanent position working 22.5 hours per week 38 weeks per year.

We are looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant into our team to start as soon as possible. The role will involve supporting our kitchen manager in a busy and bustling kitchen to prepare and provide nutritious meals for our children.
A happy disposition commitment to teamwork and ability to show initiative are key as is a friendly smile during interactions with our children.
Please note that the role involves some manual handling.
Experience of catering work would be desirable but not essential as training and support will be offered as part of induction.
