Job summary

Trudell Healthcare Solutions Inc. is seeking a Kit Assembler to ensure accurate, timely assembly of Custom Kits in a cleanroom environment. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and strict adherence to GMPs and safety protocols.

You will use D365 to create assembly orders, maintain records, and coordinate with production planning. This position offers stable hours and benefits in a Canadian manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plastic components into finished goods and sub-assemblies following WIs and cGMPs.
• Create and print labels for manufacturing orders and manage labeling tasks.
• Label, package, and handle components and finished goods.
• Generate assembly orders in D365 and maintain Device History Records.

The Position:

The Kit Assembler will ensure consistent, accurate and timely assembly of Trudell Healthcare Solutions Inc. Custom Kits.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly and Packaging

• Ensure accurate assembly of plastic components into finished goods and sub-assembly products following Work Instructions (WIs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Health and Safety procedures and Quality Policy Objectives.
• Create and print labels for manufacturing orders.
• Ensure manual assembly, labelling, and packaging of components.
• Handle parts finished goods, and materials throughout the production area as required.

Inspection and Documentation

• Perform visual inspection of components and finished goods to ensure absence of non-conformances.
• Ensure process is stopped and Manager or designate is notified when process is not yielding desired results.
• Generate assembly orders from product kits using D365.
• Ensure accurate Device History Records.
• Ensure manufacturing orders are based on priority in D365.
• Perform status updates and changes to Manufacturing Orders in D365.
• Communicate any scheduling needs with Production Scheduler.
• Accurately prepare and maintain timesheets as well as other required documentation (e.g. log sheets, etc.).
• Ensure line clearance and opening activities are performed as directed.
• Ensure line cleaning verification is performed and completed as requested.

Administration

• Comply with Employee Handbook, the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Company policies, procedures, and ISO standard.
• Ensure communication is effective and informative regarding issues which may affect the quality of service or products.
• Ensure cooperation with special projects as required.
• Ensure participation in ongoing training.

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills

• Secondary school diploma.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a team environment.
• Ability to manually, and with automated equipment operation, assemble, label, package and box small components and finished goods in a fast-paced environment
• High level of attention to detail and overall accuracy.
• Ability to visually detect very small (i.e. ½ mm) non-conformances in shape, size, colour, etc., and functionality non-conformances in components or products.
• Knowledge of a quality system program.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Ability to successfully complete WHMIS and other Health and Safety training.
• Understanding of computer systems including MS Office suite, and Windows platforms.

Essential Duties

• Ability to use hands to grip, handle, and finger.
• Ability to walk, stand, and sit, bend, twist.
• Ability to lift to mid height (average < 10 pounds, maximum 40 pounds).
• Ability to carry a maximum 40 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds.
• Mid and minor range of motion of wrists and elbows.
• Neck flexion and rotation.
• Ability to reach mid height.
• Ability to complete high-volume assembly tasks accurately and consistently in accordance with established quality standards.
• Ability to work independently for long periods.

Working Conditions

• Cleanroom production environment.
• Infrequent interruptions.
• Overtime eligible.
• Compensation based on a regular work week of thirty-seven and one half (37.5) working hours.
