Founded in 1980, Sunrise Waldorf School is situated on a beautiful 7‑acre campus in the Cowichan Valley near Duncan, BC. As an AWSNA member school and a Group One independent school under the BC Ministry of Education, Sunrise is dedicated to educating and inspiring children to reach their full potential through a rich, artistic Waldorf curriculum. Our warm, supportive, and collaborative faculty creates a positive and fulfilling workplace, making Sunrise an exceptional environment to work. Sunrise values educators who are deeply committed to diversity, reconciliation, equity, and inclusion, and who bring curiosity, humility, and care to this essential work.

The ideal candidate will have Waldorf Early Childhood teacher training (completed or in progress), a Bachelor of Education with BC certification or eligibility, and experience working with early years children (preschool/kindergarten). They will bring warmth, care, and confidence in guiding mixed‑age groups, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and positive guidance and classroom management practices rooted in respect and connection. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to foster an inclusive, nurturing environment in which all children feel safe and welcome.
