Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking a Key Account Manager specialized in Walmart accounts. This full-time, remote position based in Toronto requires 3-5 years of experience in retail account management, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. The successful candidate will develop sales strategies and strengthen partner relationships while potentially traveling occasionally.

Qualifications

Key Account Manager - Walmart (Canada)
Location: Remote, but based in Toronto, Canada.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: Negotiable.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue retail opportunities within Walmart and other assigned retailers as applicable.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with retail partners. - Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to maximize product placement and revenue within retail channels.
  • Proactively generate leads and pursue opportunities for product placement in retail outlets.
  • Develop a strategic business plan for all accounts.
  • Discuss and plan promotional strategy / budgeting and activities with the marketing department.
  • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments as appropriate.
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in managing key accounts in retail.
  • Experience of account management, including but not limited to Walmart account.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Social team player.
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Flexible and creative.
  • Prepared to travel – 20% or less of the time, to regional client / retailer.
  • Social networking skill.
