Overview
The Key Account and Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting and maintaining the growth of key accounts among the low-pressure business in Canada and for managing the performance of the low-pressure sales team. The Key Account and Business Development Manager reports to the Business Line Manager – AGA Air Division. This position is based in Saint-Laurent, Quebec and is permanent, full-time at 35 hours per week. Presence in-office is required 3 times per week.
Responsibilities
- Managing the performance of the technical sales team, including hiring, developing and coaching team members towards efficiency to obtain a strong profitable growth of the business, in accordance with the divisional targets and objectives
- Identifying and taking the lead on opportunities to raise the commercial and technical competence of the sales team
- Regularly review the team structure to ensure that it is conducive to optimal efficiency and present proposed modifications to the Business Line Manager
- Manage the internal sales tools to improve process efficiency, boost information access and generate relevant sales reports
- Identify and develop strategic key accounts and diverse partnerships to expand our product portfolio market share in Canada
- Provide professional business support to key corporate accounts such as contract negotiation, product selection, terms & conditions, contract administration, price, and incentive programs, etc.
- Execute business development plan with the sales team by conducting visits and information seminars
- Evaluate industry trends, competition, client feedback, and develop or adjust marketing strategy accordingly
- Develop strong internal networks to follow up timely responses to open issues either commercial or technical service
- Supporting in other related tasks and projects
- Complying with the organization’s environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a leadership role in sales
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in technical sales, product management or business development
- Strong knowledge of compressed air systems, ideally in the low pressure market
- Flexibility to travel within Canada when required
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and a CRM system
- Ability to produce reports, analyze data, prepare sales presentations and deliver high quality training
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written in English and French
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
Fluency in English and French is required in order to communicate with colleagues and customers throughout Canada.
