Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking a K9 Patrol & Detection Officer to join our elite K9 team in Victoria, BC. This role focuses on protection, explosive, and narcotics detection across high-profile sites, including ports, airports, and industrial facilities.

You will work with government-certified teams, contribute to safety, and gain valuable field experience. The position requires physical fitness, a valid provincial security license, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security experience OR strong customer service background.
• Previous Police, Law Enforcement, or Security K9 experience is an asset.
• Exceptional report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide K9 protection support in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct explosive or narcotics detection as directed by the K9 Manager.
• Prepare, maintain, and update documentation for canines.
• Maintain health and welfare of assigned K9s in field and kennels.
• Respond to calls and requests from Site Operations Manager.
• Inspect K9 equipment and readiness.
• Coordinate with police and emergency services as needed.
