Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a High School Assistant Coach to support the athletic department under the head coach. The role involves organizing practices, coordinating game strategies, and ensuring student-athlete health and eligibility.

You will work closely with the head coach and athletic secretary to register participants, develop schedules, and manage equipment. Strong communication and a solid coaching foundation are essential.

Qualifications

• Proper certification with ASEP and/or Illinois teaching certificate.
• Pass IHSA required tests and view videos.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees program levels and responsibilities within the athletic department.
• Work with head coach to verify participant registrations and eligibility.
• Develop game and practice schedules, facilities use, transportation needs, and program budget.
• Plan, communicate, and implement safe daily practices and events.
• Maintain equipment inventory and care; supervise students before/during/after practices and contests.
