Job summary

Fanatics Betting and Gaming is seeking a Jurisdiction Compliance Analyst based in Canada. You will help develop and implement regulatory and compliance frameworks as operations expand into Canada, collaborating with Legal, Product, Payments, Operations, and Responsible Gaming teams.

Responsibilities

• Become a compliance subject matter expert in multiple jurisdictions.
• Track regulatory requirements and work with internal business teams to satisfy those requirements.
• Assist business teams in developing procedures and processes to satisfy regulatory obligations.
• Maintain and revise the Company's regulatory internal controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with gaming regulators in multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with licensing, registration, and regulatory examination activities with applicable gaming authorities and regulators.
• Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions and elevate relevant changes to stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of regulatory reporting obligations and compliance documentation.

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Overview

Fanatics is seeking a motivated, team-oriented jurisdiction compliance analyst, based in Canada. The Jurisdiction Compliance Analyst will aid in the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of our regulatory legal and compliance framework as we expand operations into Canada in addition to supporting the broader Fanatics Betting & Gaming business.

The Jurisdiction Compliance Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, State Compliance within the Regulatory Affairs team. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, including Legal, Product, Payments, Operations, and Responsible Gaming teams.

Experience and Skills

• 2-4+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory operations experience, preferably in the online gaming industry or other highly regulated industry
• Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks, including Ontario and Alberta gaming requirements, preferred
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, act independently, and become a subject matter expert on regulatory and legal requirements are of critical importance
• A team player willing to roll up their sleeves and work to build the leading digital gaming company in the market
• Strong analytical and drafting skills
• Experience communicating with senior management and government authorities
• Self-starter that enjoys a startup atmosphere
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
