Description

Hi there, we’re Article. 👋 Since 2013, we've been creating remarkably better furniture experiences one sofa at a time. As a Junior Warehouse Quality Specialist, you’ll be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and audits at our warehouse site, verifying suppliers are meeting standards, and working on solutions projects to repair non-conforming products. You will collaborate closely with the Quality Department, Warehouse and Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to help drive quality improvements.

Why We Need You

Article’s Warehouse department receives all our boxed furniture, inspects and adds the inventory to our system, then stores all our boxed furniture which is then loaded into delivery trucks – they ensure the right products are going to the right customers.

You will work with the quality team to ensure the quality of our furniture, and to address non-conformances efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The warehouse quality team was first introduced in 2024 and we are excited to expand the team with members at all warehouse locations.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 40 hours a week – (8:00am - 5:00pm)

Occasional evening meetings may be required to collaborate with global team in Asia or Mexico. Occasional travel may be required for projects or training at other warehouse locations.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct thorough inspections of furniture items to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and non‑conformities in products.
  • Inspections may involve products or packaging in compromised condition. PPE and training will be provided.
  • Assist in determining minor fixes to products at the warehouse not meeting Article’s standards such as through reinforcement of packaging.
  • Support rework activities and large-scale inspections alongside warehouse personnel or third‑party teams.
  • Assist in rework quoting, and sourcing of materials for repairs as needed.
  • Perform tests on products to verify durability, functionality, and safety, and to verify efficacy of any repairs.
  • Participate in regular quality audits and reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, and actions taken.
  • Audit and inspect incoming containers to verify conformance to standards, and assist in supporting in‑country teams with CAPA documentation as needed.
  • Audit box sizes and weights.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance product quality.
  • Conduct other adhoc project work as required.
Who You Are
  • 1–2 years of experience in quality inspection, warehousing, or manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Willingness to learn quality standards and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret furniture assembly instructions
  • Able to lift 50 lbs independently, and handle 100–300+ lbs with assistance or equipment
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
Technical Skills
  • Ability to perform product inspections, basic tests, and assembly checks
  • Comfortable using basic inspection tools and measuring equipment (training provided)
Tools We Use
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Experience with Wrike or similar project management tools is an asset
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality

The salary range is $50,000 CAD to $65,000 CAD. The starting salary will be determined by your transferable skills, knowledge, work experience, and the hiring team’s budget, which is based on business needs, market compensation data, and internal equity.
