Job summary

British Columbia Public Service is seeking a Junior Technical Analyst to join the Information Technology department in Victoria. This auxiliary full-time position supports systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and entry-level end-user assistance, reporting to the Systems and Architecture Manager.

Ideal candidates have post-secondary education in IT or CS plus at least one year of related experience, with familiarity in productivity services and development tools.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related program, plus at least one year of technical support or development experience.
• Experience with productivity services and systems.
• Experience in a variety of application development tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the IT department by assisting with systems, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues.
• Assist with software and hardware setup and create documentation.
• Collaborate with senior team members on complex issues and provide end-user support.
