Qualifications

What You Bring :

You have good analytical, problem solving, trouble shooting and mechanical skills and have a can-do attitude, practice safety first and are not afraid of hard work. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or a degree in electronics or wireless engineering with hands on experience testing, installing, programming, and repairing wireless and electronic communication equipment and systems.

Must Haves :
  • 2-year diploma in electronics engineering technology or related field OR 4-year bachelors degree in electronics combined with related work experience
  • Valid Canadian Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record within the last 5 years
  • Be able to provide a criminal record check
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing on a regular and frequent basis for access to site
Ideal Skills :
  • Hands on experience working with conventional, trunking, and P25 systems in industrial environments
  • Experience working with portable and mobile radio equipment with basic diagnostic and radio programming
  • Experience installing radio and communications related equipment on light and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools, test equipment and design / fabrication techniques
