Your Opportunity

Stantec is looking for a Technology Designer to join their growing, multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities will include designing various Technology systems based on industry standards & industry best practices, providing technical services delivery for Stantec clients. Key indicators of success include high levels of client and team satisfaction with on-site service delivery, technical support, and contractor engagement, and working closely with clients, contractors and suppliers.

Projects can be in market sectors like commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, public, and private facilities. Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design Technology systems for the built environment, including pathway drawings, low voltage device and telecommunications plan drawings, systems riser drawings and technical specifications. Technology systems include: Video Surveillance Systems, Electronic Security Systems, Structured Cable Systems, Paging Systems, Wireless Systems, Nurse call systems, Tracking Systems (Real Time Location System), Integrated Audio Visual Systems, Distributed Antenna Systems, Telephony Systems and Data Network Systems.
  • Handle design development and document preparation in written and computer-aided design formats.
  • Coordinate designs with other disciplines
  • Prepare Technology tender drawings and specifications for commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, public and private facilities.
  • Deliver and perform activities such as pre-engagement & post-engagement site visits, customer discovery meetings, on-site assessments, site reports, deliverables review, and other field activities as required.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Familiarity with Canadian electrical standards and codes
  • Knowledge of TIA/BICSI/ASIS standards & best practices.
  • Good interpersonal skills for internal team interfaces
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills required
  • Experience using Revit is preferred
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering along with a minimum two (2) years’ relevant experience related to building technology.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range
  • Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 60,200.00 - Max Salary $ 84,300.00
Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
