As Junior Process Improvement Specialist VIE within our Manufacturing Science and Technology team, you’ll support the implementation of new data driven applications and contribute to identify yields improvement initiatives via the deployment of SimplY, an IA tool based on advanced statistical analysis.

Main responsibilities
  • Contribute to define and implement a 2-3 years plan for yield improvement of Drug Substances manufacturing processes at Toronto site, leveraging site vision, best practices and advanced data science tools.
  • Contribute / Lead the deployment of SimplY tool.
  • Contribute to deploy the new model for process monitoring and yield performance management in full alignment with SMS2.0 standards, targeting best demonstrated performance (compliant batches with highest yields).
  • Contribute to identify then lead, specific initiatives for manufacturing process variability reduction and yields improvement, focusing on B100.
  • Define plan with ambitious but realistic targets.
  • Lead the execution of the plan as validated by the site.
  • Get involvement from all parties.
  • Ensure a transformation and mindset change in process monitoring.
About you
Experience
  • Previous technical or scientific experience in biochemistry, molecular biology or process engineering and/or pharma industry would be a significant plus.
  • Experience with any or all of product design, system design, project management, design thinking and data structures would be an asset.
Soft and technical skills
  • Strong communication skills, organization, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of statistical softwares/tools.
  • Understanding and interest in industrial biotech processes.
  • Understanding of reimbursement systems, international pricing rules and major pricing systems and their evolution is a plus.
  • Lean manufacturing mindset (simplify, eliminate waste, focus on added value).
  • Able to collaborate transversally, be adaptive and curious.
  • Proactive, performance oriented, with leadership abilities.
Education
  • Master’s degree in Biotech / Data Science / another relevant quantitative field.
