Monday to Friday | 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | 52 Futura Drive, Acton

The Junior IT Support Specialist plays an important role in keeping Fraser Direct connected, productive, and moving forward. As a member of our IT team, you’ll provide responsive front-line support across the business, with a strong focus on helping team members have the technology and support they need to get the job done well. From troubleshooting a device or resolving a software issue to setting up new equipment and helping people navigate technology, you’ll make a difference in the day-to-day experience of our teams.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys figuring things out, stays organized when there’s a lot happening, and takes pride in getting things right. You’re naturally curious and eager to learn, but you’re just as interested in people as you are in technology. You know that good IT support isn’t just about fixing the problem. It’s about listening, translating “tech speak” into plain language, and making it easier for someone to do their job. You work well with people across different teams, take initiative, and care about the quality of your work.

This role is for someone who wants to build their technical skills, contribute to a growing company, and become a trusted go-to person for the people they support.

  • Assist with Windows 11 rollout initiatives and device migrations.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Communicate clearly, patiently, and professionally to deliver a strong service experience.
  • Escalate complex technical issues appropriately while maintaining ownership and follow-through.
  • Contribute ideas and improvements to enhance efficiency, service, and user experience.

Other

  • Support additional projects, upgrades, and operational initiatives as assigned.
What You Bring
  • A genuine service mindset and enjoy helping people solve problems.
  • Apply logical thinking and problem-solving skills to patiently work through technical issues.
  • Organize your work effectively, balancing multiple requests and priorities while meeting timelines.
  • Pay close attention to detail and take pride in getting things right the first time, without losing sight of efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Adapt easily to changing priorities, workload demands, and the needs of a growing business.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to keep developing your technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Remain professional, calm, and composed when things don't go as planned.
  • Collaborate effectively with people across all areas of the company.
  • Explain technical information clearly and confidently to a range of audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of or familiarity with the following:
    • Operating Systems: Windows 10, Windows 11, Android, iOS
    • Hardware: Desktops, Laptops, Label Printers, Laser Printers, Document Scanners, Barcode Scanners
    • Networking: Basic working knowledge of networks, switches, firewalls/gateways
