Overview

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Junior Financial Analyst within our PayByPhone division. This position falls under our FP&A team and is located in Vancouver, B.C. In this role, you will assist with the maintenance and production of FP&A reporting databases, product management reports, and support the team with various ad hoc requests (data analysis, manipulation and model building). You will report directly to Senior Manager of FP&A and regularly collaborate with various teams across the PayByPhone business.

Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Support the budgeting process by assisting the calculation of revenue and expense projections where required.
  • Document and communicate key risks & opportunities to the FP&A team.
  • Review overall variances to budget / forecast, and communicate key items to the FP&A team.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis within the stated timelines by collecting, formatting, analysing, and explaining information.
  • Flag key variances in different locations and departments and communicate these variances to the FP&A team.
  • Ensure that all reports and documents reconcile prior to distribution.
  • Identify corporate or business issues and work with management to develop a solution.
  • Provide ongoing decision support through financial modelling.
Accounting & Data Management
  • Work with the accounting team to standardize and streamline processes relating to the month end close where applicable.
  • Support the maintenance of the FP&A reporting database; including adding additional metrics and data to support other team members in producing their monthly insights.
  • Combine various data sources using PowerQuery to build models, reports and dashboards.
Other
  • Prepare procedure documentation for assigned management reporting templates.
  • Develop an understanding of the business model and strategic direction during day-to-day tasks.
  • Carry out tasks as requested to support the CFO, the FP&A director, the Executive and the PayByPhone accounting team.
