Job summary

Harbour City Scoop is seeking a Junior Estimator to support bidding, tendering, and pre-construction activities on Vancouver Island. You’ll work closely with the Senior Estimator to study plans, prepare bids, and help manage tenders.

You will review requests, assemble bids, and assist in creating trade contracts while ensuring accuracy and strong attention to detail. The role suits someone early in their estimating career and eager to grow within a hard-working team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mathematics, architecture, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Strong math skills including algebra, geometry and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
• Knowledge of local building codes would be an asset.
• Close attention to detail.
• Proficient at picking up new software systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. Job Type: Full-time. Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour.
