Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer EIT to support multiple projects in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, including Rouyn-Noranda and Val-d'Or. You will assist in proposals, field surveys, drafting of reports, and delivering final work to sites, while growing with a network of experienced professionals.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, are bilingual in English and French, and can travel across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Willingness to travel across BBA offices in Canada.
• Available for short- and long-term assignments with clients in Québec and across Canada.
• Advanced English skills for collaboration with other offices and clients (English occasionally/daily).
• Advanced French skills for collaboration within Québec.
• Knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME or EMTP-RV is a plus.
• Knowledge of HV/MV/LV power systems is an asset.
• IGEE diploma is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in executing detailed engineering projects in the power industry.
• Design and read schematics and plans.
• Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and study reports.
• Participate in project management (execution, costs, schedules).
• Attend internal or client coordination meetings.
• Perform site surveys.
• Monitor site work.
• Help commission substation equipment.
