Limina, a contextual data intelligence platform, is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our engineering team. You will work on services powering our data privacy platform, building API endpoints, and supporting background processing systems.
You’ll gain real ownership from day one with guidance from senior engineers, grow quickly, and contribute to code quality, tests, and documentation as you learn the system. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to impact production services.
Limina is the contextual data intelligence platform built for the AI era. Evolved from Private AI, the world's most accurate PII and PHI de-identification engine, Limina has expanded into a full platform play that governs sensitive data across the entire enterprise AI lifecycle: from classification and redaction through to agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and real-time data security.
Brands like RBC, Deepgram, and Boehringer Ingelheim already rely on our platform to build on, govern, and deploy AI against their most sensitive datasets. We've been recognized as a Gartner® Cool Vendor™ in Privacy and a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, and we’re backed by investors in Toronto, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco.
As a Junior Software Developer at Limina, you'll join our engineering team building and maintaining the services that power our data privacy platform. This is a hands-on role where you'll work across a modern backend architecture, contributing to the systems our customers and internal teams depend on every day.
You’ll be supported by an experienced team of backend engineers, and this role is designed to help you grow quickly. You’ll get real ownership over features and fixes from day one, with plenty of guidance along the way.
Our platform is built from independently deployable services, including a web API layer and a configurable background processing system, along with shared code for data models, caching, and job handling. As a junior developer, you’ll get exposure to the full lifecycle of a production service, from API design to background job orchestration to database changes.
