Job summary

Voyager Buildings in Toronto is seeking a motivated Junior Controls Installer to support field installations, learn BAS practices, and grow within the company.

This role targets candidates with 1–2 years hands-on BAS experience and a technical diploma. You will read drawings, pull wire, install devices, and assist senior installers across the GTA.

The company offers training, a clear career path toward Installer II and Technician levels, and a standard full-time schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, low-voltage electrical, or related field.
• College Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Automation (preferred).
• Understanding of basic control systems and mechanical wiring.
• Ability to read drawings and work with hand and power tools.
• Valid G driver’s license with a clean record (required).
• Electrical license an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of Building Automation Systems under supervision.
• Read and interpret BAS drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans.
• Pull wire, install devices, sensors, controllers, and panels.
• Prepare and organize materials and tools for daily site activities.
• Support senior installers in troubleshooting system issues.
• Ensure QA/QC standards are followed during installation.
• Complete daily site reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, professional work environment.

About the Role

As a BAS Installer I, you will support field installations, assist senior installers, and learn advanced building automation practices. This role is ideal for someone early in their BAS career who wants structured learning, steady field experience, and opportunities for growth.
