Reporting to NORCAT’s Chief Advisory Officer, the Junior Consultant – WSIB Health and Safety Excellence Program will lead the delivery of NORCAT’s HSEp to participating organizations. This position is responsible for directly facilitating program sessions, guiding clients through the development and validation of health and safety program elements, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery of the HSEp framework. The successful candidate will bring a solid foundation in occupational health and safety, strong communication and facilitation skills, and a genuine interest in helping organizations enhance their safety culture and achieve measurable results through the WSIB HSEp.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver NORCAT’s WSIB Health and Safety Excellence Program (HSEp) to participating clients.
  • Facilitate HSEp sessions and meetings to guide clients through program requirements and validation processes.
  • Provide client support, including responding to inquiries, clarifying program criteria, and helping client organizations document their progress.
  • Coordinate client onboarding, participation tracking, and milestone submissions to WSIB.
  • Develop and maintain tools, templates, and reference materials to support consistent delivery of the HSEp framework.
  • Monitor client engagement and provide feedback to ensure program elements are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with WSIB consultants, partners, and internal teams to enhance the overall client experience and program outcomes.
Qualifications, Experience and Requirements
  • Post‑secondary education in a relevant area such as Occupational Health and Safety or Human Resources.
  • 1–3 years of experience in occupational health and safety, program coordination, or consulting/advisory support.
  • Familiarity with the WSIB Health and Safety Excellence Program or similar continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., COR®) is an asset.
  • Experience delivering or supporting the implementation of health and safety programs is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to facilitate discussions, explain requirements clearly, and support clients in documenting their achievements.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation is an asset.
  • Experience within the mining, construction, or industrial sectors is considered an advantage.
