Job summary

BGIS in Toronto, ON, is seeking a Junior Commercial Overhead Door Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial overhead doors, glass, glazing and building entry doors. You will inspect equipment, report defects and assist with repairs, while maintaining safety standards.

This role requires ability to work shifts, be on-call, respond to emergencies, and wear PPE. A high school education is required; trades training/certification is a plus and strong troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance on doors and hardware.
• Provide observations, suggest enhancements, and report deficiencies.
• Respond to routine and on-demand service requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve door and hardware issues.
• Repair, replace and install door components.
• Record data in service management systems and ensure quality.
