Overview

Eq’Ouest stables is a growing equestrian farm in Dunrobin, Ontario (part of rural West Ottawa, minutes from public transportation). Eq’Ouest is proud to develop, coach, and empower riders of all ages, abilities & creeds; we are committed to providing a wholesome and empowering experience to anyone trains, coaches, boards, or visits here.

Currently, we offer animal boarding, animal wellness programs & equestrian rider coaching. We are in a season of massive growth, bringing in summer and youth camps and farm tours! If you are someone who loves animals, the outdoors, and is a self-starter who loves to be part of an exciting project, we would love to hear from you!

All of our Canada Summer Jobs opportunities have been specially developed to give students and youth the chance to develop real skills and grow as individuals. Each student will be paired with a mentor who will work alongside them to reach their goals and complete their immersive project.

Position Summary

The intention of this position is to develop and administer an equestrian training program for riding horses. The incumbent will help students learn and master specialized riding skills, with an emphasis on assisting students in developing proper technique and form.

Minimum Qualifications
  • This position was specifically created for the Canada Summer Jobs program 2021.
  • Must have demonstrated riding experience.
  • Prior experience using as a horse groomer, barn hand, or other related equine experience is an asset.
  • Instructor/Coach certification considered an asset.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
