Overview

Your role

About you

• Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University with minimum 3-5 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings.
• Master’s degree and above is an asset.
• 1 to 2 years of site or field experience in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings is an asset.
• Deep and thorough understanding of structural engineering gained through a combination of design-office and site experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering.
• Thorough knowledge of the use of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering such as StaadPro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, etc.
• Knowledge of modification process of Nuclear Power Plant; ECC process or similar is an asset.
• Knowledge of static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations.
• Must have good skills in time management and setting priorities.
• Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational skills.
• Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable.
• Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset.
• Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.
• Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
• Travel to client sites is required.
