Junior CAD Technician

North Devon

The role

We're expanding our Technical Department and are looking for a Junior CAD Technician to support product design and development. This is a career‑building role with training and mentoring from our Technical Director and wider team. It's ideal for someone at the start of their CAD journey who wants to grow into a skilled design technician.

What you'll do
  • Produce clear, accurate technical product drawings
  • Create CAD designs for machine outputs/CNC
  • Support product development and continuous improvement
  • Maintain drawing packs, workflows and technical instructions
  • Collaborate with production, sales and compliance teams to keep projects moving
What you'll bring (essential & beneficial)
Essential
  • Working knowledge of basic CAD processes and methods
  • 2D CAD software experience (any common package)
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Beneficial
  • 3D CAD experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word) – previous industry employment is not required, but you must already understand the basics of CAD.
Location & Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:00‑17:00. No weekend or Bank Holiday working.

Salary & Benefits
  • £27,000 - £29,000 (dependent on experience)
  • 31 days' holiday (including Bank Holidays)
