What you can expect to do here
  • Apply engineering knowledge to building envelope restoration and capital planning projects.
  • Assist engineers with building envelope condition evaluations and site reports.
  • Conduct construction and site reviews, monitoring the quality of building repairs.
  • Liaise with contractors, sub‑consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Contribute to contract administration on construction projects.
  • Take responsibility for project tasks, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Apply sustainable thinking and practices within project delivery.
  • Contribute to knowledge systems within the building science practice.
What you’ll bring to WSP
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Building Sciences, Architectural Science, or Applied Science.
  • Demonstrated passion for building sciences, building envelope technology, or building construction.
  • Preferably 1–2 years of previous work experience in Building Science or a related field.
  • Previous co‑op or summer work experience in the construction or engineering industry related to buildings is ideal.
  • Collaborative team player, energetic and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Strong multi‑tasking and organizational skills.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license.
Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia): $67,800 to $93,200

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
