Entrust Engineering in Toronto, ON is seeking a Junior AutoCad/Revit Mechanical Designer/Drafter (HVAC, plumbing, building services). You will create working drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, under senior engineers, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in HVAC drafting, strong English, and good organization; this is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth and exposure to multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering; salary range 55,000–65,000.
• College diploma or technical training in REVIT/AutoCAD/Building design.
• Experience with reading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Architectural drawings.
• Proficiency with Windows and Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to think independently.

Responsibilities

• Create working drawings that comply with company standards using AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Create AutoCAD and REVIT drawings from mark-ups or instructions from Senior Engineers.
• Perform design calculations per ASHRAE, OBC, Carrier HAP; size ducts, piping and terminal units.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on a project basis.
• Maintain up-to-date drawings including architectural backgrounds.
• Organize and print drawing sets in a timely fashion.
• Produce plot files, PDFs, CCNs and SIs as required.
• Review drawings for quality control.
• Set up drawings, X-Refs/layers/blocks/linetypes and archive project documentation.

Junior REVIT and AutoCad Drafter/Designer (HVAC, plumbing, building services) Job Description

• Excellent English Comprehension (written and verbal communication)
• 0-2 years of working experience as a mechanical designer/drafter in the HVAC industry
• Create working drawings that comply with company standards using AutoCAD and (REVIT)
• Create AutoCAD (and REVIT ) drawings from mark-ups or based on instructions from Senior Engineers
• Perform design calculations under the guidance of Senior Engineers, including heating and cooling load, plumbing load, sizing of ductwork, piping and terminal units utilizing ASHRAE, OBC, Carrier HAP, good engineering practice
• Communicate with other disciplines on a project by project basis
• Layout and size mechanical systems as directed
• Maintain up-to-date drawings including architectural backgrounds
• Organize and print drawing sets as requested in a timely fashion
• Produce plot files, PDF'S, part plans, CCNs and SIs as required
• Review drawings for quality control
• Set up drawings in an organized fashion and appropriately labeled
• Set up and create X-Refs/layers/blocks/linetypes
• Store and manage, project documentation, archive drawing files and record sets of drawings in accordance with company Project Management Standards

• Above Average working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT
• Experience with reading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Architectural drawings
• Experience with Windows and general computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc...
