Your Opportunity

Our Barrie and Guelph offices are looking for a Junior Associate to join the Cloud Accounting Services (CAS) team. This is a net new role and responsibilities will include:

  • Complete day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (QBO), including accurate coding of transactions using bank feeds and supporting documentation
  • Process and manage receipts, bills, and expense documentation through Dext, ensuring items are captured, categorized, and published to QBO on an accurate and timely basis
  • Perform routine reconciliations (bank and credit card, clearing accounts, and key balance sheet accounts), investigate variances, and elevate issues appropriately
  • Support accounts payable processes (e.g., vendor bills, and follow-ups on missing information)
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including checklists, working papers, and basic account analysis to support internal review and client deliverables
  • Prepare recurring filings and compliance support (e.g., HST/GST) under the guidance of senior team members
  • Identify data discrepancies and anomalies, maintain clean audit trails, and contribute to continuous improvement of standardized workflows, templates, and quality controls in a digital-first environment
  • Participate in the adoption of new tools and process enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and the client experience
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and well-documented work that meets Cloud Accounting Services quality standards and supports smooth reviewer sign-of
  • Build a strong foundation in QBO and Dext, showing curiosity and confidence as you learn features, troubleshoot issues, and apply best practices

Your Experience And Education
  • You have completed an undergraduate degree or diploma in accounting (or a related field)
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (co‑op, internship, or junior accounting/bookkeeping role) is an asset
  • Exposure to QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Dext is an asset (or a strong interest and ability to learn cloud tools quickly)
  • You have strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to follow checklists and standardized processes
  • You demonstrate strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills, and you’re comfortable asking questions to learn and progress
  • You are enthusiastic about technology‑enabled accounting, process improvement, and building a long‑term career in cloud accounting services

The expected range of compensation for this role is 38k - 63k per annum.
