Gray Collection is seeking a Junior Accountant Analyst to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and reporting for monthly and annual closings.

You will participate in the month-end close, prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with GST/QST filings. You will contribute to internal controls and process improvements in a bilingual French/English environment based in Montreal.

Qualifications

• Diploma (DEC), certificate, or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• One to two years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Participate in the month-end accounting close process, including the reconciliation and review of various balance sheet accounts, including record journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare account analyses and financial reports as required by management.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of sales tax returns (GST/QST).
• Participate in monthly inventory counts and variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of audit files and provide support during external audits.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the Corporate Controller or Vice President, Finance.
